Ruth Capobianco holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education degree from Mansfield University, Mansfield, PA.
Ruth has had an extensive performing career as a solo artist and has also performed with well established groups such as: Big Band Caliente, Crabtowne Big Band, The Unified Jazz Ensemble, Bayside Big Band, Dan Hall Dancetet, and many others.
Ruth has been a featured soloist with many professional, community, and church performing groups all along the East Coast.
A few of her performing highlights and accomplishments include:
- opening for the Oakridge Boys Christmas Concert
- being a featured performer at Don’t Tell Mamma’s in New York City
- being a semi-finalist in the Billie Holiday Vocal Competition
- being a featured guest on "Damian’s Diner" on 103.1 FM (WRNR radio)
- receiving the “Inspirational Woman of the Year” award
- creating a children’s choir to perform with Bob McGrath from
Sesame Street - selling out her debut CD “West Street Serenade”
